4 months and counting

Time flies when you're having fun...and we are having SO MUCH fun with Lincoln. He is really growing up and developing quite the personality. At his 4 month doctor's visit last week, he was almost 15 lbs and 25 inches long. That is 50th percentile for weight and 75th percentile for length.

Last Saturday, while Chad was participating in the Bonner Springs BBQ, Lincoln and mommy had a WONDERFUL day together. We went and picked up my eye glasses, got the car washed inside and out, took Yoda for a walk and had our first stab at cereal. Lincoln only had a handful of bites, but so far so good. And after that, he was exausted so we took a nap together in the hamock outside in the back yard.

The next day, Lincoln got to go to his first Kansas City Royals baseball game. He didn't know what to think! He fell asleep in the car on the way there, but had to pry his eyes open to watch all the people and the action. He made it a couple innings before the heat started to bother him...mommy and daddy weren't disappointed. We were all ready to hit the air condition.

Chad and I are so excited to continue watching Lincoln grow. He is such a special gift and we are lucky parents!

Lincoln is now 12 weeks old and growing like a weed! He is such a joy to Chad and I, it's hard to describe in words. Yesterday was his first day of daycare (aka "school"). His teachers said he did really well, but didn't sleep very much. He was getting used to all his new friends and the noises. He was exhausted when he got home and slept well that night! I was a mess though when we dropped him off that morning, but it got better as the day went on. My mom was here Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of last week when I went back to work which made things a lot easier. We are very lucky... We had to do a little studying Sunday night so he would be at the head of the class for his first day :-)

Welcome Lincoln

Today Lincoln Michael is 3 weeks old! Man how time flies! I just commented to Chad the other day that it seems like just yesterday we were making that early morning trip to the hospital, not knowing that later that day we'd be welcoming our new baby boy.

So far things have been going wonderful with him. Yes we are tired, but we are managing. He is eating every 2-3 hours during the day which makes it difficult at times to get things accomplished.

The nights are really unpredictable. Sometimes he'll sleep for 4 hours before he gets hungry, sometimes it's only an hour and a half. He's been getting gas every day or so but he's working everything out.

He had his photo shoot a couple weeks ago and we are anxiously awaiting the proofs from the session. He did amazing and only peed once and it got on the floor not the backdrops or pillows so I consider that a success.

We've taken him to Costco and Target multiple times, he loves car rides and shopping carts so I think we'll get along just fine.
